Alexandra's Home Page!
This is my home page for my Web Design 2 class. If you somehow got here without being part of my Web Design 2 class... how? And why?
I'm probably just gonna have the nav list at the top chronicle every week's page (the home page is week 1) so if you care to see what I made each week, you can click on one of those.
Aside from that I don't really know what else to put here as text so I'm just going to say random stuff until I've replaced all of the original lorem ipsum text I had here. So that's fun.
You may notice that the background image is some kind of cat. It's called a serval. You will see more serval pictures (probably just more of the same picture actually) if you look at my weekly pages.
I also have a color palette I like to use (just in general). Technically this page also uses it but one of the colors is missing (replaced by image of serval). The weekly pages will use said color palette (typically).
Random Stuff
Fun fact, for a while in 2022(?) and 2023, I played competitive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I only participated in one season, but I had fun, even if my team didn't win the tournament we played in (even if we kicked ass the pre-season).
I have very strong feelings about Mario Kart as a whole, including competitive Mario Kart. You may think that because I played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe competitively that I think it's the best one. I don't. Mario Kart Wii for life, baby!
Anyway, I don't think I'll return to competitive Mario Kart anytime soon, mostly because it would not impact my mental health positively (and like, I'm too busy to sink time into competitive, so like... it wouldn't be sustainable anyway).
Random Stuff Part 2
Have you heard of the game Feeding Frenzy? That one fish game from 2004? ...No? Go look up "Feeding Frenzy PopCap" and come back here.
Back? Okay cool. So I really like the first Feeding Frenzy game. So much so that I speedrun it. And I currently hold the world record for the fastest time beating the game, clocking in at 30 minutes, 41 seconds, and 500 milliseconds. There are 40 levels in the game, so I beat each one in about 46 seconds on average! (That would be more impressive if some of the levels weren't 6 seconds long...)
I've also assisted commentators when other runners have played (ran) Feeding Frenzy live on stream. There was a speedrun race back in March where the whole gimmick of the event was to highlight femme speedrunners, and the commentators for the Feeding Frenzy race referenced a giant document I made of interesting stuff about the game. (Maybe that could be my final project?) It was an honor to contribute and I'm very proud of the runners who participated in the race!
